Wildmoor

SK11 8BL We don't yet have a space to come and visit, but are planning on it. Watch this space!

Wildmoor is inspired by my location on the edge of the Peak District; it's a celebration of the simple things in life and the great outdoors. Nothing is added to the soap that doesn't need to be there, so the end result is an honest bar of soap that lathers up beautifully, and moisturises and cleans the skin without stripping it of its natural oils.

What do you produce?

We make soap by hand the traditional way; with plant extracts, gentle oils, moisturising shea butter and essential oils for scent.

Where do you source your ingredients / materials from?

I source my soap ingredients from soap making wholesalers throughout the UK and collaborate with local artists and makers to produce accessories such as crochet soap savers and decoupage tins.

Why do your customers love your products?

The first thing customers love is the scents! As a soap maker, you can get so used to the scents, so it's really lovely when customers walk over with an "oh wow!". They also love the simplicity of the ingredients, the mildness, the lather and the fact that the soap lasts ages without turning to mush.

What are your best selling products?

The best selling bar is the Lemon Eucalyptus & Tea Tree, and our tins with mini travel soap slices are a big hit with customers too. We've just ventured into the world of favours, which are proving to be popular too.

Where can we buy your products?

Wildmoor soap can be bought via our website, at Sutton Village Florist, at Rode Hall Farmers Market on the first Saturday of the month and at Scoop and Scales in Macclesfield on the last Sunday of the month.

Are you open for visitors? If yes, what are your opening hours?

No, sadly not, but that's the plan!

Have you received any awards / lovely recommendations from experts (don't be shy!)?

Not as yet!

Do you sell wholesale? If so how do we get in touch with you to discuss further?

Yes, we sell wholesale through our website. If businesses would like to get in touch to discuss wholesale in detail, please contact me, Lorraine, at info@wild-moor.co.uk .

Who's the best local producer near you (except you of course!)?

There are so many in the local area it's tough to choose... but I'd have to go for Leyla's Dolci https://www.instagram.com/leylasdolci_/ for the utter deliciousness of her pastries!
