Barti Rum was created in 2017 by Jonathan Williams, who is also the brains behind Old Point House In Angle. Awarded "Best Rum" at the Great British Food Awards 2024 it's unique spiced infusion of locally sourced laver seaweed, gives it subtle umami undertones whilst enhancing the flavours of vanilla, clove, cinnamon, and citrus. In addition to their signature spiced rum, Barti Rum offers a plant-based cream liqueur, spiced with the same spices as Barti rum. A B Corp, the team behind the rum are committed to sustainability, using recycled glass for their bottles and biodegradable materials for their labels. Founder Jonathan Williams is also leading research into seaweed's potential for carbon capture, aiming to make Barti Rum a carbon-negative company in the future.
