Oldroyd & Sons Ltd., a family-run business spanning five generations, specialises in producing high-quality forced rhubarb in the renowned Yorkshire Rhubarb Triangle - an area between Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield. Director Janet Oldroyd Hulme, sometimes known as the "High Priestess of Rhubarb," leads the enterprise alongside her sons, James and Lindsay. The family's rhubarb cultivation began in the 1930s when Janet's great-grandfather relocated to Wakefield and started growing rhubarb, a tradition that has been meticulously passed down through the generations. Under Janet's guidance the company has earned accolades, including recognition as a Rick Stein Food Hero Producer. You can find their rhubarb, when in season, in local Booth's supermarkets.
