Mentley Farm Lavender has been created to offer a beautiful place of tranquility where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, learn new skills, recharge amongst nature and discover the versatility of lavender and its array of healing benefits. I founded Mentley Farm Lavender in January 2021 and have nearly finished planting 4 acres of lavender (which I have grown the majority of from cuttings). The Lavender Field opened to visitors in summer 2023 and will be open Friday to Sunday; June, July and August this year from 8th June. We provide refreshments, sell lavender plants and gifts, host other small business craft stalls and yoga classes as well as hiring out the field for photography sessions I grow a number of varieties of lavender, distilling some for essential oil and floral water on farm and some for dried bunches which I sell at local markets along with our other hand crafted sustainable gifts either made by me or other small businesses. I also give distilling demonstrations to visiting groups for a minimal cost and also host a variety of workshops taught by myself and other local artisans.

What do you produce?

Lavender essential oil, lavender and lemon floral water, dried lavender bunches, lavender bags, eye pillows and lavender wreaths and lavender plants. Other small businesses make my range of plant based candles, body lotion and our soap which also includes our lavender oil.

Where do you source your ingredients / materials from?

The lavender is grown in our field. Our packaging is sustainable; we use cardboard, metal or glass with minimum plastic and it's made in the UK. Our flower pots are recyclable and made from recycled plastic. Our plant labels are recycled wooden lolly sticks.

Why do your customers love your products?

Our products smell amazing, look beautiful , are locally grown and made by me or other small businesses that I carefully select.

Lavender bags, dried bunches and plants.

At markets throughout Hertfordshire, on our website or direct from the farm.

Are you open for visitors? If yes, what are your opening hours?

The Yard is open for lavender plants and gifts on Fridays 11am - 4pm April and May or by appointment. The Lavender Field is open Friday to Sunday 11am - 4pm June, July and August.
