Norton & Yarrow Cheese
Little Wittenham, Abingdon OX14 4QZ
Norton & Yarrow Cheese, founded by Fraser Norton and Rachel Yarrow, is an award-winning artisan cheesemaker based at Earth Trust Farm in South Oxfordshire. Their herd of pedigree Anglo Nubian goats grazes on wildflower meadows near the River Thames, reflecting the company's commitment to high animal welfare and environmentally sustainable farming practices. They produce two exquisite cheeses: Sinodun Hill: A pyramid-shaped cheese with a unique, mousse-like texture and a bright citrus flavour. It features an ivory-colored rind that seasonally develops a blue dusting. Sinodun Hill won Best Artisan Cheese at the World Cheese Awards in November 2022 and Best New Cheese at the Artisan Cheese Awards in May 2017. And Brightwell Ash: An ash-coated cheese with a silky texture and rich flavour. Brightwell Ash won Best Goats' Cheese at the Artisan Cheese Awards in May 2022. Norton & Yarrow's philosophy centres on producing high-quality, handcrafted cheeses that embody the rich flavours of their goats' milk, achieved through traditional cheesemaking methods and sustainable farming.
