We produce medals for Universities (e.g. St Andrews, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Cambridge, Princeton), Schools, Charities (e.g. Polar Academy), private clubs and associations (e.g. Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews) and private individuals. These medals are stamped in metal, silver or gold using a bespoke steel die or pair of dies using a process that has changed very little over the centuries.
We also supply and manufacture trophies, silverware, quaichs, signage, special awards, and glassware. We can create bespoke, handmade items - for example unique trophies designed in conjunction with our clients, or a bespoke medal or quaich for a special occasion such as an anniverary or birthday. Other bespoke items include the enamelled stall plates that are installed in the Thistle Chapel, St Giles Cathedral. A new stall plate is installed for each new Knight or Lady of the Thistle, appointed by the Monarch.
We also offer an engraving service. Items can either be engraved by machine or by one of our highly skilled hand engravers - who carve (or 'grave') out the detail in the metal with special tools. This is a truly skilled profession that requires a great deal of artistic talent and patience.
